What are Kybella injections?
KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.”
How Does It Work?
When injected into subcutaneous fat in the treatment area under the chin, Kybella permanently destroys fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. Fat cleared from the treatment area is processed through natural metabolic mechanisms.
Patients reported a greater improvement in self-perception, including feeling happier and looking younger based on their chin profile. They also reported feeling less embarrassed, less self-conscious, less overweight, and less bothered by the fullness under their chin. Many patients experience visible results after 2 to 4 treatments.
